ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
- Students must carry a minimum of three - 3 hour courses in each semester
- First year students must maintain a minimum GPA of 1.50 in all classes attempted in the fall to be eligible for the spring season or any following season
- First year students must maintain a minimum GPA of 2 00 in nine hours in the spring semester to be eligible for the fall season or any following season
- Students dropping out of the spring semester may not play in the fall season and must have a minimum GPA of 2.00 in 9 hours in the fall season to be eligible to play the following spring.
SECOND YEAR STUDENTS AND TRANSFER STUDENTS
- Such students must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.00 in 12 hours at the the U of L in each semester to remain eligible for the following season
- Provisions may be made for transfer students with a successful academic history where a cumulative GPA would be significantly above 2.00
- Cumulative GPA of 2.00 or above will be considered for eligibility for second year students when the GPA of the previous semester is 2.50 or higher

ADMISSIONS
Admission remains the same for new High School applicants
- Five course formula:
- 1. English 30
2 .3. 4.Any three 30-level academics worth 5 credits each (see admissions guide).
5.Any 30 or 33-level course worth 5 credits or two worth 3 credits each.
- Students presenting a 65% average in these five courses are guaranteed admission.
- The U of L will choose the five courses which benefit the student the most.
Application Deadlines
- For September 1998: April 1st for Early Admission application/Aug 15th for documents.
- For September 1998: June 1st for application/Aug 15th for documents.
- For January 1999: November 1st for application/November 15th for documents.

Scholarships
High School Applicant Awards:
1 . Board of Governors' Admission Scholarship Value: $ 1000
- Application deadline: January 1st.
- Application to the U of L constitutes an application for this scholarship.
2. Board of Governors' Achievement Scholarship Value: $ 1000
- Based on meritorious accomplishments
- Separate scholarship application required by April 1st.
3. Early Entrance Awards Value: $ 1000 - $5000 Total: 23
- Available on the basis of: leadership ability, academic achievement, volunteer experience and artistic ability.
4. High School Applicant Awards Value: up to $1000
- Based on actual admission average, financial need, volunteer experience and artistic ability.
- Separate scholarship application required by July 15 for Fall or Dec 15 for Spring.
5. Automatic High School Entrance Awards (Value: up to $2000 Total: varies)
- All high school applicants with an actual admission average of 80% or greater will automatically receive a scholarship for study at the U of L.
