2023 Junior Academy Program 10U - 11U - 12U - 13U

Welcome to the Lethbridge Junior Academy youth baseball program. For the 2020 season each team will play approximately 20-22 games including exhibition/double header games and 3 tournaments (weather pending). An additional 4th tournament will be an option for individual teams to consider (at an extra cost) once the teams are formed. Each team can expect to practice weekly in coordination with the Little League schedule so athletes can play in both programs. The age cutoff will also be August 31, the same as Little League, no exceptions.

The fees for the 2020 season are $525-$550/player (10-12U) $575-$600 (13U), payable no later than February 28, 2020.

Each player is also expected to raise $150 (profit) in the annual meat fundraiser/and or Grocery Card which is due at time of fundraiser. (no reason to stop as we have introduced a rebate offer; all additional profit raised will be split between the Academy and you. This can help you with your personal travel costs to games such as fuel/hotels/meals or your player’s registration fees.   Of course, our fundraiser has great meat options and grocery cards which people use anyways so we encourage you to take part.

***The 2020 fees cover the use of coaching costs, indoor/outdoor facilities, equipment, uniform use, umpire fees, tournament entry fees (3), player apparel (hoodie, practice shirt, shorts, and hat). Any costs related to travel (accommodation, meals) are not included.

***There is a non-refundable $20 tryout fee per player, payable the day of tryouts.

There is an ongoing goal to have past college baseball players take the lead on some of the teams if possible and in 2020, we are pleased a couple of these individuals have stepped forward for our program.  Parent Coaches will be necessary and welcomed to supplement these teams and perform organizational duties as well as lead teams without a college baseball player in place.  Parent Coaches, naturally, will be required to adhere to all Junior Academy policies and procedures.  Parent Coaches will be named once their player is confirmed to be on the team.

Junior Academy and the Bantam AA Program supports Lethbridge Little League Baseball so we can provide the best experience, opportunities, and programs for each age group.

Please note that a key document will outline expectations and processes for the players and parents along with the head coach of the team.  All three parties will sign this once the player has been selected to be on a team and he has accepted his position with the team.
