2024 PBA Hall of Fame Inductee
The Prairie Baseball Academy is honoured to induct Rob Greeno into our Hall of Fame.
Rob’s baseball journey began in his hometown of Lethbridge, where he played Little League and American Legion baseball. His passion for the game led him to the Prairie Baseball Academy (PBA) in 2002, where he played until 2005, showcasing his talent and dedication to the sport. Following his time at PBA, Rob furthered his education and baseball career at Mayville State University in North Dakota, playing for the Comets and earning a degree in business. Leveraging his academic and athletic experiences, Rob then embarked on a successful professional path, becoming a partner at Asyma Solutions, a firm specializing in financial software in partnership with Sage Software.
Rob’s commitment to PBA extended beyond his playing days, as he joined the PBA board in 2010. His involvement has been pivotal in organizing numerous fundraising events, including annual banquets, poker tournaments, and the annual Keith Jorgensen Scholarship golf tournament, contributing significantly to the academy’s growth and success. In 2012, he was instrumental in founding the PBA Alumni association, serving as president until 2020. Under his leadership, the association not only raised crucial funds, particularly for scholarships, but also played a key role in reconnecting alumni across Canada.
Rob’s tireless volunteer efforts, combined with his roles as a friend, husband, and father, make him an invaluable member of the PBA community and a deserving inductee into our Hall of Fame.

ROB WATT
2024 PBA Hall of Fame Inductee
The Prairie Baseball Academy is honoured to induct Rob Watt into our Hall of Fame.
Rob Watt’s baseball journey, which began in the Chemainus Baseball Association, showcases a remarkable trajectory of growth and success. As a young athlete, he played Little League for Stuart Channel, participating in two Provincial Championships and honing his skills. From ages 13 to 15, he continued to develop his talent in the Babe Ruth league, playing for All Star teams and representing the Mid Island associations. His teenage years saw him excel in the PBL with the Mid Island Canadians, where he competed in several BC Provincial Championships. At 19, Watt took his passion to the next level by joining the Prairie Baseball Academy in Lethbridge, AB, in 1996, where he played until the spring of 1999. This was followed by a successful stint at Wayne State College in Wayne, NE, culminating in a senior year as team captain with a 35-10 record and a runner-up finish in the NCAA Regional. Alongside his athletic achievements, Watt completed his degree and later a Master’s in Exercise Science, leading into a coaching role.
Watt’s coaching career, spanning from 2004 to 2018 at UMO, is marked by a string of impressive achievements and contributions to the sport. Under his guidance, teams clinched 10 Conference Tournament Championships, 14 NCAA Tournament Appearances, and a NCAA National Championship. His coaching prowess led to the development of four Major League Baseball players and 32 players drafted or signed to MLB organizations. Furthermore, his mentorship resulted in 38 All Americans, numerous player of the year recipients, and several conference and regional awards.
His commitment to academic and athletic excellence is further highlighted by the 5 Academic All Americans he coached. Watt’s influence in baseball is not just limited to his on-field strategies, but also in shaping the careers and lives of numerous players.
