Junior Varsity:
This weekend, our Junior Varsity Team played in the Prairie Showcase Classic here in Lethbridge at Spitz Stadium and Lloyd Nolan Yard. The boys were an unstoppable force throughout the tournament as they swept up wins for every single one of their games before the Championships:
Game 1: vs U of C Dinos 9-4 WIN
Game 2: vs Edmonton ATHX 16-0 WIN
Game 3: vs Lloydminster Prairie Pirates 13-0 WIN
Game 4 (semi-final): vs Okotoks Academy Black 5-4 WIN in a 14 inning game from 9pm - 12:45am.
The PBA JV moved to the finals with earned confidence, but the Jets proved to be a formidable force (also having won every single one of their own games over the weekend) as the Championship game commenced on Sunday, April 28 at 2:30pm at Spitz Stadium.
The Vauxhall Jets took gold with a 15-5 win over PBA JV and earned their title as the 2024 Prairie Showcase Champions. A tough loss for our JV boys, but they can hold their heads high with their fantastic performances over the weekend.
Congratulations to the Vauxhall Jets for their championship title and to our PBA JV for taking silver. Thank you to each and every team, their staff, and their fans for coming out this weekend to support your team. We'll see you next year at the 2025 Prairie Showcase Classic!
