The competition has been outstanding thus far and baseball fans are encouraged to try and make their way down to watch some games and soak up what might be the last of the beautiful weather before the team is forced indoors for the remainder of the fall as we head in to the inevitability of old man winter.

So far after 5 games of the Fall World Series the standings are as follows:

Team White 1-2

Team Navy 2-2

Team Red 2-1

Team Rosters for the PBA Fall World Series can be found here.

If you can't make it to Lloyd Nolan Yard and want to catch all of the action it can be found with our streaming partner HN Live.

We would like to apologize for the technical issues we had over the weekend with the stream but those issues have been rectified and improved as another camera angle is being added for the remainder of the World Series

Marathon Game

ree

The Prairie Baseball Academy (PBA) holds an annual event, the Marathon Game, at Lloyd Nolan Yard. This 100-inning baseball game, a tradition since the academy's inception, is played at the end of fall to fundraise for the program. Notably, players dress in Halloween costumes, adding a fun twist to the event, with grocery gift card prizes for the best outfits. Family members and friends attend this all-day event to enjoy the festive atmosphere, fun costumes, and full-day of baseball.

Like all sports, up-to-date facilities and gear come at a cost. The Prairie Baseball Academy raises over $100,000 annually through multiple fundraisers. This year we are hoping to raise $60,000 so that both our Varsity and JV teams can receive new uniforms in the spring. The amount of support provided by local businesses in our community is undeniable. As players, we are proud to be part of the community. We help coach youth baseball camps, volunteer at the bingo hall, run a haunted house, perform odd jobs for alumni and local supporters, in addition to maintaining our own facility and other fields throughout the community.

Fundraising is done primarily through players soliciting donations from family and friends via letters and pledge forms. These funds are crucial for offsetting increasing travel expenses for the team's trips and supporting the academy as a whole. The PBA coaching staff expresses immense gratitude to all donors for their support, which is essential for the program's continued success and sustainability.
